ITALIAN DEPARTMENT

Welcome to the website of the Department of Italian Language and Culture in NUML – Islamabad. The Department’s history dates back to 2002. Italian Syllabus is shaped according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages(http://www.coe.int/t/dg4/linguistic/source/framework_en.pdf) . Courses are offered from beginners to advanced level (from A1 to B2 level).
A European Indicator of Language Competence:
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, teaching, assessment (CEFR) is exactly what its title says it is: a framework of reference. It was designed to provide a transparent, coherent and comprehensive basis for the elaboration of language syllabuses and curriculum guidelines, the design of teaching and learning materials, and the assessment of foreign language proficiency. It is used in Europe but also in other continents.
