Welcome to the Department of English at NUML Faisalabad Campus. As the Head of Department of English, it is my pleasure to provide you with an overview of our department and the exciting opportunities it offers.

Our Department offers a comprehensive range of programs and courses designed to meet the diverse needs and interests of our students. Whether you are an undergraduate seeking a solid foundation in the study of English or a graduate student pursuing advanced research in Linguistics, we have programs that cater to your individual goals.

At the undergraduate level, our BS English program offers a well rounded amalgamation of general and field-specific courses, while our BS English Bridging program upgrades the Bachelor of Arts degree to meet current educational needs and standards. At the graduate level, our MPhil in English (Linguistics) aims at providing a platform for advanced research in traditional as well as modern disciplines of Linguistics, keeping in line with HEC guidelines. Catering to the ever-increasing need of English language usage in educational and professional domains, the Department offers proficiency courses, as well as functional courses of various levels. These courses are designed and tailored according to the needs of each batch by our well equipped Faculty, using innovative teaching strategies and classroom techniques.

Additionally, the co-curricular activities for students encompass a diverse range of opportunities that not only enhance their academic growth but also foster holistic development. Such activities include literary festivals, where students engage in creative discourse, share their criticality in writing, and display various literary genres. Debates, and speech competitions provide platforms for students to hone their communication skills and enhance their confidence. Drama and theatrical performances allow them to showcase their talents in acting and playwriting, while participating in seminars and conferences further nurtures their analytical and research abilities.

Overall, the Department of English takes pride in the teamwork that goes behind imparting knowledge, skills, and professional behaviour to its students, while developing and strengthening their interpersonal attributes.
