Dr. Hazrat Umar is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics and the Head of the Department of English Language Teaching (ELT) at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, Pakistan. 

From 2022 to 2023, Dr. Umar served as a Visiting Scholar at the College of Education and Human Development, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus, USA.
