Overview

Mission Statement of the Program:

Enlightening the scholars to produce research in advance areas of Arabic Language & Literature applying historical, comparative, descriptive methodologies and analyzing the Quranic text, themes, genres and modern trends in Arabic literature and Criticism.

Program Objectives

  1. To apprise scholars with research methodology and Advance research techniques.
  2. To help the scholars to find out new domains for their research work from classical & contemporary Arabic Language & Literature.
  3. To apprise scholars with advanced knowledge of modern Arabic literary critiques.
  4. To apprise scholars with contemporary Arabic prose and poetry.
  5. To apprise scholars with Arabic Religious Literature.
  6. To make aware the scholars of in-depth knowledge regarding Arabic classical dictionaries.

Eligibility Criteria

a. Master degree (16 years of education) in relevant discipline from HEC recognized University with minimum 2.5 out of 4.0 CGPA or Grade ‘B’ under semester system or 50 % marks under annual system.

b. Selection in the respective program will be subject to availability of seats, merit based on academic qualification, valid GRE International / NTS / NUML devised GAT- General Score.

c. Applicants with valid GRE International/GAT-General from NTS will have to pass written/subjective portion of NUML GAT-G (as per schedule of respective Faculties) to secure admission.
