About the Event

NUMLogic is an event organized by Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering & Computer Science and will be held on 14th-16th March, 2022. NUMLogic consists of below mentioned inter-departmental competitions between the students of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics department.

Participants will be given certificates of appreciation and winners will be given certificates for achievements.

Programming Competition (Juniors Category – Semesters [1-4])

This inter-departmental competition will be among the students of CS, SE, EE and Mathematics department where a registered team of 2 students will be given programming problems to be solved within an hour using C / C++ or Java.

  • This competition will be held on 14th-MAR-2022 in CS-Lab-I, CS-Lab-II, SE-Lab-I and SE-LAB-II of FE&CS.
  • Registration fee: PKR=200/= (100 x 2)
  • Shields for the winners of will be distributed along with certificates.
    • Shield for the winning team.
    • Certificate of achievement.
    • Certificate of participation.

Programming Competition (Seniors Category – Semesters [5-8])

This inter-departmental competition will be among the senior students of CS and SE department where a registered team of 2 students will be given programming problems to be solved within an hour using C / C++ or Java.

  • This competition will be held on 14th-MAR-2022 in CS-Lab-I, CS-Lab-II, SE-Lab-I and SE-LAB-II of FE&CS.
  • Registration fee: PKR=200/= (100 x 2)
  • Sheilds for winners will be distributed along with certificates.

Quiz Competition

This inter-departmental competition consists of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) from below mentioned subjects:

  • Introduction to Computers - ITC / ICT / IICT
  • Programming Fundamentals - PF / ITCP
  • Object Oriented Programming - OOP
  • Operating System - OS
  • Data Structures and Algorithms - Data Str. & Algo.
  • Data Communication - DC
  • Computer Networks - CN
  • Data Base Management Systems - DBMS

  • A Team of 3 students from CS, SE, EE and Mathematics departments can register for this competition.
  • First round of this competition is the elimination round and will be held on 7th and 8th March, 2022 in CS-Lab-I, CS-Lab-II, SE-Lab-I and SE-LAB-II of FE&CS.
  • Final round of this competition will be among 4 x teams on 16th-MAR-2022 in NUML Auditorium, Salam Block.
  • Registration fee: PKR=300/= (100 x 3)
  • Shields for the winners will be distributed along with certificates.
    • Shield for the winning team.
    • Certificate of achievement.
    • Certificate of participation.

Poster / Logo Design Competition

This inter-departmental competition will be among the students of CS, SE, EE and Mathematics department in which a student will be given a topic on which s/he will create a poster / logo within the allotted time.

  • In this competition, a student will have to use its own System / Laptop for designing of poster / logo of his/her chosen tool, e.g. (CorelDraw, Adobe Photo Shop etc.)
  • First round of this competition is the elimination round and will be held on 15th March, 2022 in CS-Lab-II & CS-Lab-II.
  • Registration fee: PKR=100/= (100 x 1)
  • Sheilds for the winners will be distributed along with certificates.
    • Shield for the winning team.
    • Certificate of achievement.
    • Certificate of participation.

DLD Guru

This inter-departmental competition will be from the subject of Digital Logic & Design (DLD), among the students of CS, SE and EE department. The competition will consist of 2 rounds with 2 students per team.

    Round-1: Logic challenge (elimination round : duration = 60 min.)
  • Two design questions to be solved on paper.
  • First 10 teams qualify for the 2nd round
    Round-2: Speed wiring (final round : duration = 30 min.)
  • If there is a tie, then earlier submission time will be declared winner.

  • Registration fee: PKR=200/= (100 x 2).
  • Shields for the winners will be distributed along with certificates.
    • Shield for the winning team.
    • Certificate of achievement.
    • Certificate of participation.

Maths Guru

This inter-departmental competition will be among the students of CS, SE, EE and Mathematics department in which a team of 2 students will be given Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from below mentioned subjects:

A Team of 3 students from CS, SE, EE and Mathematics departments can register for this competition.

Poster & Logo Design

PKR 100

This inter-departmental competition will be among the students of CS, SE, EE and Mathematics department in which a student will be given a topic on which s/he will create a poster / logo within the allotted time.

DLD Guru

PKR 200
