About the Event

NUMLogic is an event organized by Faculty of Engineering & Computing, National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad. This year , the event will be held on Tuesday, 30th April 2025 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Bachelors level University students of computing related disciplines and Electrical Engineering from all over Pakistan are encouraged to apply for registration and take part in below mentioned competition categories:

Prizes

Cash prizes & Shields will be given for the first and second position holders.

Certificates

Participants will be given certificates of appreciation and winners will be given certificates for achievements.

Programming Competition

As the name refers, the students of computing, electrical and mathematics background can register in this competition. A team consisting of 2 students will be given programming problems to be solved within 1-2 hours using C / C++ / C# / Java Language.

  • Registration fee: PKR=1000/Team
  • Winning teams will get:
    • Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd position.
    • Shields for 1st and 2nd position.
    • Certificate of achievement.
    • Certificate of participation.

Computing Quiz Challenge

This competition consists of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) from below mentioned subjects:

  • Introduction to Computers - ITC / ICT / IICT
  • Programming Fundamentals - PF / ITCP
  • Object Oriented Programming - OOP
  • Operating System - OS
  • Data Structures and Algorithms - Data Str. & Algo.
  • Data Communication - DC
  • Computer Networks - CN
  • Data Base Management Systems - DBMS

  • A Team of 2 students can register for this competition.
  • First round of this competition will be the elimination round and Final round of this competition will be among 3 x teams in Main Auditorium, Salam Block.
  • Registration fee: PKR=1000/Team.
  • Winning teams will get:
    • Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd position.
    • Shields for 1st and 2nd position.

Poster Design Competition

In this competition, a student will be given a topic on which s/he will create a poster design within the allotted time. Furthermore, individual participant will have to register for this competition and a registered student will have to use its own System / Laptop for designing of poster in his/her chosen tool, e.g. (CorelDraw, Adobe Photo Shop etc.)

  • Registration fee: PKR=1000/Team
  • Winning teams will get:
    • Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd position.
    • Shields for 1st and 2nd position.

Ideathon Challenge

This competition consists of a team of 2 students, presenting their ideas based on the Uraan Pakistan Program, among the students of CS, SE and EE departments. The competition will consist of 2 rounds with 2 students per team. Participants must align their ideas with one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under Prime Minister URAAN Pakistan Program.

    Presentation Rules and Format
  • Each team has 3 minutes to present their idea.
  • A 2-minute Q&A session follows the presentation.
  • Presentations must be in English (or with English subtitles if pre-recorded).
  • Use slides but no more than 1 slide.
    Judging Criteria
  • Relevance to SDG (20%) – How well does the idea address an SDG?
  • Innovation & Creativity (25%) – Is the idea unique and feasible?
  • Impact & Scalability (20%) – Can it create real-world change?
  • Clarity & Presentation (20%) – Is the pitch clear and engaging?
  • Q&A Handling (15%) – Are responses well thought out?
    Competition Rules
  • Strict 3-minute time limit; exceeding may lead to penalties.
  • INo offensive, inappropriate, or misleading content.
  • The decision of the judges is final. Code of Conduct
  • Participants must respect others’ ideas and maintain professionalism.
  • Plagiarism or intellectual property theft will result in disqualification.

Programming Competition

This inter-departmental competition will be among the students of CS, SE, EE and Mathematics department where a registered team of 2 students will be given programming problems to be solved within an hour using C / C++ or Java.
