It is a unique honour to be the Vice President of Confucius Institute NUML Islamabad, which is the oldest in Pakistan. Since its inception on 04 April 2005, its trajectory has been moving upwards with exceptional team work demonstrated by the faculty, staff and NUML senior management. It provides unique academic environments for learning Chinese language and also conducting different level of HSK tests. Over the years, its popularity has grown and in every semester, the number of candidates is increasing. Confucius institute exposes the students to diverse faculty, multi-cultural co-curricular activities and high level international exposure as every year the students and faculty get an opportunity to visit different parts of China. In 2019, the undergraduate program BS Area Study China was introduced, with balanced mix of course contents covering multifaceted aspects of China studies, language, arts, culture and Pakistan – China bilateral relations. In the overall context, this is an excellent platform to promote Pakistan-China relations.
