Welcome to the Department of Spanish, NUML! Spanish language is one of the most important and widely spoken languages in the world. In fact, it is the 3rd most spoken language in the world after English and Chinese, and the 2nd most spoken language in the world in terms of native speakers. It is the official language of Spain, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Uruguay and Venezuela.
