The Department of Accounting & Finance at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) was established in 2022. This department is strategically positioned at the crossroads of commerce, trade, and financial innovation in Pakistan. Situated in a region known for its dynamic economic landscape, the department is dedicated to equipping students with the essential skills required for thriving careers in accounting, finance, business management, and commerce. The department offers two primary degree programs: the Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance (BSAF) and the Master of Science in Banking and Finance (MS B&F). These programs are meticulously designed to develop proficiency in accounting and finance principles, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the industry by incorporating specialized fields such as forensic accounting & fraud auditing and real estate investment & finance, broadening the scope of education to meet the diverse needs of the marketplace.
Recognizing the significant yet often overlooked role of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and alternative markets in the Pakistani economy—key contributors to GDP and employment—the department is pioneering in offering specialized educational programs that caters to the unique challenges and dynamics of SMEs and alternative investment markets. While traditional business education tends to focus on the needs of large corporations and multinational entities and stock market, our department is committed to bridging this gap by preparing graduates to effectively support and lead within this vital sector, fostering economic resilience and inclusive growth.
