Korean Movie Day
On May 2, 2025, the Department of Korean Language & Culture at NUML, with support of Embassy of the Republic of Korea, organized “Korean Movie Day” and the Ambassador’s Lecture, “Korea Meets Young Pakistan.” His Excellency Mr. Park Ki Jun, the Ambassador of Korea, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The Honorable Rector, NUML praised the Embassy’s role and reaffirmed NUML's commitment to fostering international collaboration. Prof. Dr. Jamil Asghar Jami, Mr. Ahtisham Hussain, and Dr. Atif Faraz also attended the event. The seminar featured a Korean movie, the Ambassador’s lecture, a “Samulnori” performance by the EOLSSU Team, and a vocal rendition of “Jindo Arirang”. A large number of students participated the event, and at the end Korean snacks were distributed arranged by the Korean Embassy.

International Conference on Recent Developments in Mathematics
We are pleased to announce that the Department of Mathematics is organizing an International Conference on Recent Developments in Mathematics on 15th May 2025.
We invite researchers and academicians to submit their research articles for paper presentations. Selected papers will be considered for publication in the NUML International Journal of Engineering and Computing (NIJEC).
The conference will also feature keynote talks by distinguished national and international speakers, providing valuable insights into recent advancements in mathematics, innovation, and their real-world applications.

15th Korean Speech Contest
As part of NUML Spring Festival 2025, the Department of Korean Language & Culture will present vibrant events, including the 15th Korean Speech Contest. Students will showcase their Korean language and cultural skills. The Chief Guest will be H.E. Mr. Park Jaelark, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
Adding a festive touch, the department will host traditional Korean games like Squid Game, Tuho, and Jegichagi, offering participants a hands-on experience of Korea’s cultural heritage.

K-Soft Power Seminar 2025
Department of Korean Language & Culture and Islamabad King Sejong Institute, with support of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, organized the “K-Soft Power Seminar” today in NUML. H.E. Mr. Park Ki Jun, Ambassador of Republic of Korea, was the Chief Guest, while Brigadier Shahzad Munir, Worthy DG NUML, welcomed the chief guest.
In his address, the Ambassador commended NUML’s efforts in promoting Korean language and culture, while the Worthy DG NUML emphasized the university's continued commitment to enhancing international collaboration. The seminar featured two online presentations from Korea, offering valuable insights on Korea's global cultural influence. The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to the students arranged by the Embassy.
