On 21st May 2026, NUML Mirpur Campus celebrated Labour Day and Bunyan-ul-Marsoos with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and respect. The event was organized by the Department of Management Sciences to recognize the invaluable contributions of workers to society and to promote the spirit of unity, dedication, and national responsibility.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of several distinguished guests from the Mirpur Division. The Commissioner Mirpur attended as the Chief Guest, while the Additional Commissioner Mirpur, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mirpur, and other respected government officials graced the occasion with their presence.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. Although the event was organized by the Department of Management Sciences, students from all academic departments of NUML Mirpur Campus actively participated in the celebrations. They delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the importance of Labour Day and the values embodied in Bunyan-ul-Marsoos. Their thought-provoking presentations, along with patriotic national songs and other performances, created an atmosphere of pride, unity, enthusiasm, and motivation among the audience.
The Commissioner Mirpur, in his keynote address, delivered a powerful and inspiring speech on the significance of Labour Day and Bunyan-ul-Marsoos. He emphasized the dignity of labour, the importance of hard work, national unity, discipline, and collective responsibility in building a prosperous Pakistan. His motivational remarks encouraged students to become responsible citizens and to contribute positively towards the nation's development.
Following the Chief Guest's address, the Regional Director, NUML Mirpur Campus, delivered the presidential speech. He warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and appreciated their gracious presence at the campus. He commended the efforts of the Department of Management Sciences for successfully organizing such a meaningful event and acknowledged the enthusiastic participation of students from all departments. In his address, he highlighted the importance of discipline, teamwork, patriotism, and respect for the dignity of labour, encouraging students to uphold these values in both their academic and professional lives. The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion. As a token of gratitude, a commemorative shield was presented to the Chief Guest, Commissioner Mirpur, while Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to the students who actively participated in the event. The celebration ended on a high note, leaving participants inspired by the values of hard work, unity, patriotism, and service to the nation.
