Introduction:
The Students’ Wellness and Resilience Center is proposed to provide psychological counseling services to students in the Department of Educational Sciences, aiming to enhance their mental health, academic success, and holistic development. The center will offer individual and group counseling, along with stress management support, to improve students’ emotional and academic well-being.
Rationale:
This proposal meets the accreditation requirements of the National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (NACTE), which emphasizes the importance of counseling services in teacher education institutions. Moreover, establishing the center is essential to addressing the growing need for mental health support among students, helping them manage academic and personal challenges more effectively.
Objectives:
To provide comprehensive psychological counseling services to students in the Department of Educational Sciences, enhancing their mental health, academic performance, and overall well-being. The services aim to support students through individual and group counseling, stress management, and holistic development strategies.
Scope of Services:
I am an experienced counselor with a background in collaborating with a Neurosurgeon at PIMS in Islamabad, specializing in psychological counseling. I have expertise in addressing academic stress, individual issues, and holistic well-being challenges faced by students. My work includes individual counseling sessions, group therapy, and workshops, all focused on enhancing emotional resilience, personal growth, and managing both academic and occupational stress. In addition to working with students, I have also counseled individuals from diverse backgrounds, which has broadened my understanding of various psychological challenges and equipped me with a versatile skill set to support holistic well-being.
The counseling services will cover:
- Individual Counseling: One-on-one sessions to address personal and academic concerns.
- Group Counseling: Sessions to facilitate peer support and address common issues.

Proposed Activities & Schedule:
- Weekly Individual Counseling Sessions: Offering students a confidential space to discuss individual and academic issues.

- Counseling Space & Materials: Private and comfortable room for individual and group sessions.
- Scheduling System: Tools for booking and managing counseling appointments.
- Confidentiality Measures: Ensuring privacy and confidentiality in all counseling sessions.
Expected Outcomes:
Students will experience enhanced holistic well-being, leading to better academic performance and improved coping skills. The program will also foster peer support and provide timely crisis management to ensure student safety and well-being.

Facilitator:
To address the workload of the Students’ Wellness Club, one faculty member and a senior student will be required to serve as facilitators to support the club’s services effectively.
Services of the Center shall be as under:
- The Department Center will offer both individual and group counseling services to the students of the Department to address their academic, individual, and psychological needs.
- The department will collaborate with faculty and administrative staff of the department to identify emerging areas of the counselling.
- And to ensure complete privacy of the information related to the students and counselling services provided.
- The focus of this center is to maintain the well-being, emotional intelligence, and development of students.
