Seminar on Air quality and Climate change
ORIC NUML organized a seminar titled “Air quality & climate change” Mitigation and Adaption strategies for Pakistan on the closing ceremony of HEC Social Integration and Outreach Program - SIOP Project “Drivers of Change” on February 26, 2019. Seminar focused on adapting ecofriendly driving practices. Main aim of this seminar was to make people aware of environmental hazards and to encourage pollution cessation campaigns.
Zartaj Gul, Minister for state for climate change graced the seminar as chief guest of the inaugural session. Mr. Malik Amin Aslam, Federal Minister and advisor to PM on climate change graced the seminar as chief guest of the closing session.

Vice Chancellor- Sukkur IBA University held a special Interactive Session with the NUML faculty of Management Sciences
Mr Nasir Ahmad Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor- Sukkur IBA University held a special Interactive Session with the faculty of Management Sciences of NUML organized by ORIC NUML & FMS.
While addressing the faculty members he started out by identifying the relevancy of course content with the job market. He emphasized on interactive teaching methods. There is an emerging trend of Artificial intelligence and is constantly replacing cognitive intelligence. Sukkur IBA success stories with the Faculty members were also shared for the purpose of replicating the model in the NUML University.

NUML & IBA ink MOU for research promotions
National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and IBA Sukkur University signed an accord on January 20, 2019. MOU signing ceremony was held at NUML Islamabad campus.
Rector NUML Maj.Gen Zia Uddin Najam HI(M)(Retd) & VC IBA Sukkur University Mr. Nisar Ahmad Siddiqui were the main signatories.
Both the parties agreed to cooperate in diverse fields pertaining to research publications, capacity building, entrepreneurship, innovation, joint research projects & information exchange.

NUML & PRCS ink MOU
National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) signed an accord on January 14, 2019 to establishing a youth volunteer club in NUML. In youth volunteer Club, NUML students will get the opportunity to participate in volunteerism activities. Formation of this club will inculcate and promote volunteerism in students through various opportunities.
MOU signing ceremony was held at NUML Islamabad campus. Rector NUML Maj.Gen Zia Uddin Najam HI(M)(Retd) & Secretary General PRCS Mr. Khalid Bin Majeed were the main signatories

Seminar on “Age of Fitnah”
In this seminar, three honorable scholars were invited. The program was started with the recitation of Holy Quran after that video having the complete documentary of previously held seminars was played in front of the audience. The speaker of the programme was Raja Zia ul Haq lecturer at Bahria University and president of the Organization Youth club. He focused on the historical content of Fitnah along with west influences on our Muslim society and their efforts

4th Two Days International Conference Titled “Contemporary Ideological & Moral Challenges to Muslim Societies and their Solutions from Islamic Perspective”.
A Two-day conference was organized on the topic, Contemporary Ideological & Moral Challenges to Muslim Societies and their Solutions from Islamic Perspective by the Dept. of Islamic Studies and different guests were invited. The chief guests addressed the audience and the papers were presented to highlight the topic through different perspectives. It was very fruitful for faculty members and students as it encouraged them to ponder over the topic which is a great issue n today’ world.

Naat Competition
All departments were informed about the Naat Competion. Fifteen students took part in the competition from different departments. Judges were invited from outside of the university to make the decisions.
1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders were awarded with cash prizes of 5000/- 3000/- and 2000/- respectively. Judges were conferred with the shields arranged by the university. The refreshment was arranged for the judges, faculty and the participants.

Fun Theory – Entertainment in Islam
An event on the topic, Fun Theory was organized by the Dept. of Islamic Studies and Raja Zia Ul Haq was invited as a guest speaker. The speaker addressed the audience, motivated them and tried to convey the major ideas and principles in Islam regarding entertainment that is allowed in our religion and to what extent can the Muslims have fun while being practicing Muslims at the same time. It was very fruitful for faculty members and students as it encouraged them to ponder over Islam deeply.
