Pakistan Cultural Day

East Campus

The Department of Pakistan Studies organized “Pakistan Cultural Day” on March 21, 2023. 
The students of different backgrounds presented their cultural heritage. The Dean FSS Prof. Dr. Khalid Sultan, along with the Head of the Department Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Malik, witnessed the event and interacted with the students. The students also presented their dresses, cultural dances, food and literature to the Guests. The Dean FSS and HoD Pakistan Studies highly praised the students for their efforts in presenting the colourful culture of Pakistan. The Dean FSS emphasizes the students to foster interfaith harmony for the promotion of patriotism in Pakistan. The students also thanked the faculty members and staff of the department for guiding them in organizing such events. They also urged the department to continue such practices for the promotion of National Harmony.

The Department of Pakistan Studies arranged a guest lecture titled “The Role of Media in Promoting National Harmony and Youth Development”, on March 17, 2023, at 10: am in the Multipurpose Hall, Ibn-e-Khalidoon Block. The lecture was delivered by a seasoned journalist Javed Sidique. The Head of the Department, Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Malik, faculty members and the students of Pakistan Studies, also interacted with the Senior Journalist to retrieve knowledge on contemporary affairs.

The Department of Pakistan Studies organised a study trip on March 17, 2023, for its students to visit the National Monument of Pakistan. During the trip, students visited the National Museum and witnessed the historical collections, placed in the museum. The study trip aimed at enlightening the students about the history of Pakistan.

Seminar: Awareness on Psychological well-being

Psychological well-being society,  Department of Applied Psychology NUML Islamabad arranged a one day awareness seminar  on " Psychological well-being".The aim was to educate the audience regarding significance of mental health at every stage of life, from childhood to adolescence through adulthood. An insight regarding the prioritization of psychological health and well-being was also provided to the students . Furthermore students were also briefed about the counseling services being provided at NUML. Resource Person was Ms.Tayyaba Safdar, Counselling Psychologist  National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad.
