. a) Tenure:

The cabinet serves a one-year term, dissolving in December. Following this dissolution, the selection process for new cabinet members commences.

b) SOP of selection:

Every year in December, a selection process is held for constituting a new cabinet. Registered candidates are called for interviews in which they are evaluated based on pre-determined criteria, which include the candidate's academic record (CGPA), teacher recommendations, and relevant experience. Through this interview process, the most qualified students are selected for their respective positions.

 

 Mandate and Actions/Activities

Mandate:

  • To create a welcoming space for members to explore, discuss, and appreciate literature together.
  • Creating an inclusive and respectful environment where members can engage in lively and thought-provoking discussions
  • To enhance the critical thinking and insights of the members and be able to provide depth insides of the books regarding different aspects
  • To motivate the members to interact with one another while refining their communication abilities, patience, and capacity to accept and acknowledge the perspectives of others while expressing one's own

Actions/activities:

  • Conduct panel discussions to explore different aspects regarding chosen books
  • Invite authors of chosen books or local literary figures for talks and Q&A sessions
  • Encourage a safe space for sharing diverse interpretations and engaging in healthy debate.
  • Dedicate time for members to share their own favorite reads and recommend them to others.
  • Conduct pop quizzes followed by distribution of gifts to the winners

Expected Outcomes:

  • Increased reading frequency and engagement through a selection of captivating books.
  • Deeper understanding and appreciation of literature through stimulating discussions.
  • Exploration of diverse genres, broadening literary horizons and personal preferences.
