Vision:

Our vision at the Career Planning Society is to empower students by providing comprehensive career planning and counseling services. We strive to promote ethical and moral values in all aspects of our operations, and to collaborate with the department's administration to arrange enriching co-curricular activities. We are committed to keeping students informed about National and International scholarships, so that they can make informed decisions and achieve their academic and professional goals.

  1. Mission:

The mission of the Career Planning Society is to provide practical guidance and support to students as they explore diverse career opportunities. Through active participation in our programs and activities, we aim to empower students with essential career management skills, and to help them develop a clear and actionable career plan. Our goal is to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the future, and to inspire them to pursue fulfilling and meaningful careers.

  1. Purpose:  

In today's rapidly evolving and highly competitive landscape, students require guidance and mentorship to make informed decisions about their future careers. The Career Planning Society is committed to providing students with the practical experience and skills they need to succeed in their chosen fields. We facilitate students' acquisition of the requisite skills and knowledge to succeed in the fast-paced and ever-evolving contemporary work environment by offering an extensive range of webinars, seminars, and workshops. Our goal is to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the future, and to help them build sustainable and rewarding careers.

  1. Objective:

The Career Planning Society aims to empower students with skills, knowledge, and practical experience to build sustainable careers. We offer guidance, mentorship, and career-related resources to help students explore diverse opportunities, develop clear career plans, and thrive in a dynamic work environment. We promote ethical values and provide information on scholarship and funding opportunities to support academic and professional goals.

  1. Tenure:

The cabinet serves for one academic year, beginning at the start of the academic term. Dissolution occurs annually in December, after which new cabinet elections take place towards the end of the same month.

  1. SOP of Election:

The election process for constituting a new cabinet is conducted annually on December 30th. Interested students submit their nominations via a Google Form, and on a predetermined day, elections are held using electronic ballot papers or electronic voting machines (EVMs).

Mandate:

  • To empower students with skills, knowledge, and practical experience to build sustainable and rewarding careers
  • To promote ethical values and raise awareness about the importance of ethics and values in career planning
  • To collaborate with the department's administration to arrange co-curricular activities
  • To provide students with information about National and International scholarships and funding opportunities

 

Procedures:

  • Organize webinars, seminars, and workshops on career-related topics to keep students informed about industry trends and best practices
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to help students explore diverse career opportunities and develop a clear and actionable career plan
  • Provide resources and tools to equip students with the skills they need to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of scholarship and funding opportunities

 

Actions/Activities:

  • Host career fairs and networking events to connect students with potential employers and industry professionals
  • Arrange job shadowing, internships, and volunteer opportunities to provide students with practical experience in their fields of interest
  • Develop career-related materials such as resume writing guides and interview preparation tips to help students prepare for job applications
  • Conduct individualized career counseling sessions to support students in making informed decisions about their future careers
  • Engage in outreach activities to raise awareness about the importance of career planning and ethical values.
