Commencement of Online Classes

This is to inform you that NUML will be resuming Online Classes for all the Programs of the ongoing semester in Spring 2020.

The classes will be held 6 days a week from May 18, 2020 to June 8, 2020.

The Students are required to Loging to NUML LMS by using their ID/Password.

Resumption of Online Classes from May 18, 2020

Subject: Resumption of Online Classes from May 18, 2020

  1. National University of Modern Languages will be resuming online classes for all the programs of ongoing semester i.e. Spring 2020 from May 18, 2020 to July 8, 2020. The classes will be held 6 days a week. It is mandatory for the students to attend the classes.
  2. Students can register in NUML LMS through their department (if not registered already) by providing their valid Email Address.
  3. Students from far furlong areas having internet/ connectivity issues will be facilitated by providing recorded lectures and course /reference material on CDs. The students desirous of availing this facility must inform their concerned department & coordinator/HoD. CDs will be delivered through courier service at their address free of cost.
  4. The students who are not able to attend online classes due to connectivity issue and are not willing to avail the facility of provision of recorded lectures can opt for freezing of semester. Keeping in view the special circumstances, the competent authority has relaxed the conditions of semester freeze as a special measure. The following conditions will be applicable for this semester i.e. Spring 2020 Semester, only.
    1. Freezing of 1st semester is allowed.
    2. 3rd consecutive freezing is allowed if it falls within total allowed degree duration.
    3. 12% of semester fee, as continuation fee for this semester i.e. spring 2020 will be charged. However, fee paid for current semester will be adjusted in next semester accordingly.

NB: Students from far furlong areas such as GB, FATA and Remote areas of Sind and Baluchistan having no internet facility will not be charged any extra fee for freezing the semester.

  3. All the registered students have been provided with the LMS ID/Password. The students are required to login NUML LMS by using ID/Password.

Dr. Raheel Zafar published a research paper in High Impact Journal

Dr. Raheel Zafar, and Dr. Huma Hayat Khan, from the Department of Software Engineering, have published a journal paper in the International Journal “KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems” having impact factor of 0.711. The title of the paper is “Decoding Brain Patterns for Colored and Grayscale Images using Multivariate Pattern Analysis”. This research discusses a detailed behavior of the human brain based on the color and gray scale images for the specific and unique task. Faculty member presented a research paper in International Conference

Mr. Muhammad Awais Gondal, Lecturer, Department of Software Engineering, presented a research paper in 22nd International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems, ICEIS 2020 on 7th May 2020. He presented his paper titled 'An Engineering Approach to Integrate Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) to Achieve High-Quality Software Process' that was published in the Software Engineering track of the conference. The research work presents a novel methodology for integrating quality factors in Software Requirements Specification documents.
