A Celebration of Language and Culture at NUML
Organized by the Department of Korean Language & Culture
The Department of Korean Language & Culture hosted the 15th Korean Speech Contest as part of the NUML Spring Festival 2025, with H.E. Mr. Park Jaelark, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, as the Chief Guest.
In addition to the speeches, the event also featured vibrant Korean cultural performances, including Taekwondo performance, Korean group song, and the Korean fan dance prepared by the students of Department of Korean Language & Culture and Islamabad King Sejong Institute. In his remarks, Chief Guest praised NUML’s efforts in promoting Korean language and culture and offered continued support to the NUML. In his remarks, Mr. Ahtisham Hussain, Head of the Department, emphasized the department's dedication to serving students' best interests and enhancing the cultural ties between Pakistan and Korea under the visionary leadership of NUML Rector, Major General Shahid Mahmood Kayani. Winners of the speech contest received souvenirs arranged by the Embassy of Republic of Korea, and the Chief Guest was presented with a special token from the department. Refreshments were also served to the attendees, concluding the ceremony on a festive note.
